Chris began riding at the age of five. Throughout her successful junior career she trained with Jack Stedding and Jerry Frankhouser. Chris started Woodberry Farm in 1976 to share her knowledge and expertise to train horses and rider's to be a successful team. With many years of experience, Chris has trained junior's and amateurs to win numerous hunter, equitation, and national finals. Chris has been recognized in the local Northeastern region for her sportsmanship and dedication to providing the best training and knowledge for successful horse and rider teams.
Chris's niece Erin had an extremely successful junior career training with Chris and Frank Madden. Erin qualified for the USEF Hunter Seat Medal Finals as well as winning numerous championships in the Junior Hunters. Erin joined Chris in 2005 to teach and share her knowledge with up and coming riders. Erin's students have won numerous equitation finals, national and regional finals, and hunter derbies.
Chris's daughter, Carlie had a successful junior career winning the Zone 2 Children's Hunter Finals. Carlie joined Woodberry Farm to teach new rider's the important fundamentals of riding and horsemanship.
